3 Forms of Self-Care I'm Loving Lately
My approach to self-care is ever evolving. It ebbs and flows with the seasons, what’s going on in my life, and how much anxiety I’m experiencing.
But that’s the beauty of S E L F - care, right? It’s all about what’s best for Y O U … and that’s always going to be changing.
Here are 3 ways I’ve practicing self-care (and loving!) lately:
1) Deep tissue massage: While I wish I could say that I schedule massages more regularly, right now they are more so on a treat yourself or as needed basis. I love the physical benefits of a massage, but also how relaxed and zen I feel after.
2) Skincare skincare skincare: Pre-wedding I got very serious about my skincare routine (not that I wasn’t before, but I definitely took it up a notch). I added serums, eye creams, and gua sha to my daily routine, scheduled myself regular facials (including peels and facial massage), and the results have spoken for themselves. I’m also refining my makeup routine, and wearing less in general, which has been an added bonus.
3) Making plans to have no plans: The last 6 months of my life have been so busy that seeing a blank day (or even just a blank afternoon/evening) in my planner brings me so much joy. Rest and rejuvenation are both just as important as experiences and connection, and I believe that having no plans is highly underrated. You should try it and let me know if you agree ;)
Those are just a few of the many ways I’m practicing self-care at the moment, but the ones that are the most effective and enjoyable for me. What are your self-care go-tos right now? Would love to hear about them in the comments!
xo,
Kelsey
